Founder Rick Anderson, a manufacturing engineer, entered into the water damage restoration industry in 2002 with Water Out®. Three and a half years of hands on experience proved the merits of heat drying in conditions ranging from the cold and snow of Michigan in January to the tropical conditions of South Florida in August. While the equipment was very good and its drying performance remarkable, there was room for improvement.
Rick called upon electrical engineer and master electrician Loren Katerberg to help design a new machine. Loren, a holder of several electrical patents, is responsible for all that is electrical in the DrySmart System. Together they examined every aspect of delivering fresh hot dry air to a water damaged structure and removing moisture and humidity from the structure. Importantly, they paid close attention to the human factors side of the equation with the goal of making the DrySmart system a tool restoration technicians would love to use.
DrySmart systems are cost effective, high value, effective, reliable, and easy to use. In addition to manufacturing convection drying trailers, DrySmart stays close to the industry pulse by actually performing restorative drying in partnership with restoration contractors.
